Judging process
Proud of our unique process, the BHFF AWARDS selections are made through BHFF’s unique 8 to 12-person, even member jury, with the festival’s President, Nino Simone, being the tie-breaker. Scholars, artists, critics and BHFF trustees discuss, debate, and determine the most outstanding achievements of the year, as well as provide a detailed rationale for each selection. The BHFF jury convenes each year during the festival for deliberation. The members of the jury remain confidential until the Awards are announced.
