SYNOPSIS

In 500 Years of Friendship, director Abby Mohaddes explores her father’s decades-long bond with a group of Iranian men, formed during their time as foreign students at the University of Nebraska in the 1970s. Amidst the Iranian Revolution and the Iran Hostage Crisis, their friendship provided strength and solace. Abby returns to Nebraska with her father, witnessing how their enduring connection has transcended generations, offering a poignant exploration of connection, resilience, and cultural identity.
