SYNOPSIS

In “Bare Metal,” experts in the built environment discuss the exponential growth and consequence of digital infrastructure on our world and lives. It explores the urgent imperative to make it sustainable, describing the current role digital infrastructure plays in reducing the environmental impact of the digital age through collective actions in renewable and carbon-free energy and its growing strategic attention on embodied carbon. How much faster could we accelerate decarbonization if digital infrastructure worked boldly and directly with the deep end of their supply chain to revolutionize industrial processes and accelerate capital flow and the adoption of emerging industrial technologies?
