SYNOPSIS

An iron-willed Argentine priest inspires hope for an entire nation by teaching people living in Madagascar’s largest landfill to build their own city on a hill, complete with schools, sports facilities and hospitals. Pedro Opeka declined an opportunity to play professional soccer in his native Buenos Aires and realize his childhood dream. He chose, instead, to become a missionary and live in one of the poorest countries in the world. After 30 years of construction, fighting increasing poverty and political instability, Opeka has created a highly functional city within this dysfunctional island nation. His mission is to prepare the children he saves to one day save their own country.
