SYNOPSIS

Dasi, a Dalit (“untouchable”) woman, dehydrates while manual scavenging, emptying dry non-flushing outdoor toilets for upper caste villagers. This leaves Amrita, her 11-year-old daughter, to finish this work and pick up where her mother left off.
