SYNOPSIS

Inspired by a true story from 1944, “Sunflower” is a wartime fairytale told through the eyes of a young girl. As she flees war-torn Ukraine with her family, she clings to childhood innocence, transforming the horrors of war into a game of hide-and-seek. Through magical realism and poetic imagery, “Sunflower” blends history with fantasy, capturing a child’s resilience, the fragility of hope, and the enduring power of imagination in the darkest of times.
